1992: The One Tour

Davey Johnstone as musical director and lead guitar, Guy Babylon on keyboards , Charlie Morgan on drums , Bob Birch as bass player, Mark Taylor on keyboards and guitar, and finally the beatiful Marlena Jeter, Mortonette Jenkins & Natalie Jackson on backing vocals.

This two-hour extravaganza features staging, costumes, and lighting designed by Gianni Versace. Elton featured a little interaction with Eric Clapton on their duet in some of the shows. In Rotterdam, Elton ended his setlist after 90 minutes with only a couple of hundred people shouting for encores while others wait Eric Clapton. Press described Elton as a not-bad support act. Also, it was said that the "Live In Barcelona" concert, George Michael and Eric Clapton would duet with Elton, but finally this didn't happen. Recorded on July 21, 1992, this was Elton John's first live concert film in six years.

As In Europe, Elton dedicated "The Show Must Go On" to Freddie Mercury and performed this number away from the keyboard, with a hand-held microphone. Also, he dedicated "The Last Song" to the people suffering from AIDS. George Michael finally appeared in Los Angeles, CA performing "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" with Elton as an encore; although Elton opened the concert with the same song.
